Nearly a decade of experience in the Construction Professional Liability space at AXA XL prior to joining Convex US. Graduated from St. John’s University with a B.S Summa Cum Laude in Risk Management & Insurance. Currently serving as a Director on the Alumni Board chapter for the St. John’s School of Risk Management and the NY RIMS chapter.

Nearly a decade of combined brokering and underwriting experience in the Construction and Architects and Engineers Professional Liability at WTW, Brit Insurance, AXA XL and Chubb. Past experience includes implementing complex project-specific and annual risk program placements for construction clients ranging from middle-market to $1B+ contractors.
Working together with James offers an exciting opportunity to assist in building the Convex US brand in the marketplace alongside a trusted, and creative presence in the Contractor’s Professional Liability marketplace.
We mainly work with brokers that have accounts ranging from the middle-market ($100M+) to large ($1B+) contractor sector across the US.
We can provide cover on an annual or project basis. The projects our brokers look to cover range from roads and highways to hospitals, universities and, increasingly, renewable infrastructure.
We’re a team of two with 20+ years of combined underwriting experience in this specialist area. As a result, many of the brokers we work with are people we’ve known for years.
We like to strengthen those relationships by meeting face to face, including with the insured party when it’s an annual renewal. It helps us to understand their business better and make sure our cover exactly fits their needs. Whether the contact is new or established, though, brokers and clients can count on us to be open and transparent. If we have to deliver bad news, we’ll be upfront about it. And, crucially, we’ll resolve claims quickly and efficiently. Without that, we’re just selling a piece of paper.
